A childhood taunt became a name. Exile became a set. Pop memory became a place to survive — and then a dancefloor.
DJ Sir Gay is the Los Angeles project of queer Belarusian artist Sergey Ulyanov: narrative sets, impossible pop collisions and Eastern European memory rebuilt loud enough to belong to him again.
